Capstone: Use AI to Win an Opportunity

The capstone for AI for Career Success. Use the Role-Task-Context-Format recipe to create something real with AI, land a job, learn a skill, or build something, refine it at least twice, and submit your work with a short reflection.

Capstone: Use AI to Win an Opportunity

Instructions

Goal

Move from consumer to creator. Use everything from the course to make something real and useful to you, with AI as your partner. You will submit the work plus a short reflection on how you made it.

Step 1 — Pick ONE path

  • Land the job. Take a real job (or scholarship/internship) advert. Produce a tailored CV summary and a short cover letter for it.
  • Learn a skill. Pick a skill you want. Produce a 4-week learning plan plus the first lesson written out.
  • Build something. Pick a small idea. Produce a build plan plus the first concrete step (text, code, or design).

Step 2 — Use the recipe

Write your prompt with Role · Task · Context · Format, then refine at least twice (for example: change the tone, shorten it, add an example, or make it sound more like you).

Step 3 — Keep it honest and yours

  • Never let AI invent facts, experience, or results you do not have.
  • Verify anything factual.
  • Make the final version sound like you, not like a robot.

What to submit

Put all of this in a shareable document (for example a Google Doc set to "anyone with the link can view") and submit that one link. If you built a website instead, you can submit its live or GitHub link.

Include:

  1. Which path you chose and what you set out to make.
  2. Your best prompt (the full Role-Task-Context-Format prompt, written out).
  3. What you refined and why (the follow-ups you used).
  4. The final result you produced.
  5. A short reflection (3-5 sentences): what you learned, and what you will do with this after the course.

How you are assessed

See the rubric. We care most about a clear, well-structured prompt, real refinement, an honest and useful result, and a thoughtful reflection, not perfection.

Suggested tools: any AI assistant (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and others) and a document to write in. No coding required unless you chose to build something.
