Capstone: Build a Website for Your Community
The capstone for Vibe Coding 101. Build and publish a real website that solves a problem in your community, for your school, a family business, a youth group, or any project your people rely on, then submit your live link for review.

Instructions
Goal
Put everything from Vibe Code 101 to work. Build and publish a real website that solves a real problem in your community. Your site can serve your school, a family business, a youth group, a place of worship, a sports team, or any project your people rely on. This is not a practice page. When you are done, real people should be able to use it.
Step 1 — Choose your problem and your people
Start from the problem you picked in Lesson 2. Write down, in one or two sentences, the problem your website solves and exactly who it helps. Everything you build follows from that.
Step 2 — Plan your site
Decide your pages and sections before you build: a home page with a clear headline, the information your people actually need (prices, term dates, opening hours, fixtures, services), and a way to make contact. Add an "About this project" section where your write-up will live.
Step 3 — Build it with AI
Build section by section, the way you learned in the course. Describe what you want, check the result, refine. Use your own words, your own photos where you can, and information you have verified. Never let the AI invent facts about your school, business, or community.
Step 4 — Test it like a visitor
Open your site on a phone, the way your people will. Check that every page loads, every button works, and the contact details are correct. Fix what does not work before you publish.
Step 5 — Publish and share
Publish your website live and share the link with the people you built it for. Their reaction is part of the work: note one thing they asked for or struggled with.
What to submit
Submit the one live link to your website. On the site itself, in your "About this project" section, include a short write-up of 150 to 250 words covering:
- The problem you solved and who it helps.
- What you built and the feature your people need most.
- What someone who used your site said or asked for.
- What you would build next.
How you are assessed
See the rubric. We care most about a real problem honestly solved, a site that works, and a thoughtful write-up, not perfection. Your submission is reviewed by the RiseAfrica team. When it is approved, your course certificate is issued.
