What you'll learn
- How electronics, sensors, and microcontrollers work together
- Building real projects: from blinking lights to sensors that respond to the world
- The basics of embedded programming and how code controls hardware
- Connecting devices to the internet to build simple IoT projects
- How to plan, build, and troubleshoot a working prototype
Prerequisites
- None. Beginners are welcome
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn by building
- Access to a basic electronics kit (we will share a low cost parts list, and we help where we can)
Format
- Guided maker sessions with hands-on builds
- A mix of lessons, live guidance, and project work
- Finish by building and showing your own working prototype
- Free of charge, with a verifiable RiseAfrica certificate on completion
Who it's for
- Students and young makers curious about hardware and electronics
- Anyone who likes building physical things, not just software
- Learners across Africa, with no prior experience required
