What you'll learn
- The full path from spreadsheets to machine learning, step by step
- How to clean, explore, and make sense of real data
- Working with real African datasets on problems that matter locally
- Core tools: Python, data analysis libraries, and notebooks
- The basics of building, training, and judging a machine learning model
Prerequisites
- None for the fundamentals. Beginners are welcome
- Comfort using a computer and a willingness to practice each week
- A computer and an internet connection (the platform runs light on African networks)
Format
- Online, 10 weeks, about 4 to 6 hours per week
- A mix of guided lessons, weekly mentorship, and hands-on practice
- Finish with a capstone project on a real dataset that you can show employers
- Free of charge, with a verifiable RiseAfrica certificate on completion
