Practical: Writing · Lesson 8 of 12
A CV tailored to the exact job
Generic CVs get ignored
The winning move is matching your CV to each specific job advert, not sending the same one everywhere.
You are a professional CV writer. Here is my current CV and a job advert
I am applying for: [paste both]. Rewrite my CV summary and bullet points
to match THIS job, using their keywords honestly. Keep it truthful, one
page, clear simple English.
Golden rule: never let AI invent experience you do not have. Tailor the wording, never the facts. A CV that lies will fail you in the interview, or after you are hired.
Your turn
Find one real job (or scholarship, or internship) advert. Paste it with your CV and tailor your summary to it. Keep the honest version, you will use this skill in the capstone.
