Building the skeleton

Before you write, you need a structure. Most dissertations follow a familiar shape: introduction, literature review, methodology, results, discussion, conclusion. Your field may differ, so check your guidelines.

AI is genuinely useful for outlining, because an outline is a plan, not the writing itself.

bullet points under each chapter for what it should cover.

Use the outline as a starting frame. Move things around, cut what does not fit, and add what is missing. The final structure should reflect your specific project, not a generic template.
