What you have built

A dissertation teaches you more than its subject. Done honestly, it proves you can ask a question, research it, think for yourself, and write it clearly. AI did not give you those skills. You built them, with AI as a helper along the way.

Take a moment to notice that. The students who use AI to skip the thinking come out the other side with nothing. The students who use it to support their thinking come out sharper, and they can stand behind every word.

That is the whole point of this course: not to do less, but to do better, honestly.

Practice

Write a few sentences in your notes: how did you use AI in this project, and what did you learn that is truly your own? This is also good raw material for your AI disclosure statement.
