Using AI for Your Dissertation, the Honest Way

AI / ML

How to use this course

How to get the most from this

This course is self-paced. You can move quickly or slowly, and you can come back to any lesson when you reach that stage of your dissertation.

A few tips:

  • Do the practice tasks. They are short, and they turn ideas into habits.
  • Keep a working document. A single file where you collect your notes, prompts, and drafts as you go.
  • Save your prompts. When a prompt works well, copy it into your notes so you can reuse it.
  • Always verify. Treat everything AI gives you as a draft to check, never a final answer.

This is the most important habit in the whole course: trust nothing from AI until you have checked it yourself.

Practice

Create your working document now. Title it with your project name. Add three headings: Notes, Useful prompts, Sources to check.
